COMPANY HISTORY / GROWTH

Andros Manufacturing was started with two davenport machines and four employees in a garage, the company became a incorporated in New York State in 1979, a privately held S-Corporation owned by Rita and Fred Steenhoff. Andros Mfg. specialized in screw machine products from metal rod manufactured on 5-spindle davenport machines, later electronic cable connectors were added to our production line and became our proprietary product. In 1984 we moved into our building at 30 Hojack Park in Greece (Suburb of Rochester), with 4823sq.ft.of space on 2.23cres of land, we added 3310sq.ft.of shipping and receiving space, 1195sq.ft.office space and by adding a few more machines and some employees until we became the company we are today,a company with 9328sq.ft., 19 davenport machines, assorted secondary assembly machines and twenty-six employees .

Andros special job work customers purchase manufactured parts made per their specifications or blue prints (parts or prints may be engineered in our plant to request). Parts we manufacture are used in the assembly of tire gauges, air pressure attachments, gas orifices, plug gauges, override buttons, valve assemblies of different types, and thermometers, which are currently run on 10 machines producing about 1.5 million pieces per month.

Andros Mfg. manufactures several types of cable connectors, in some cases are the only types made in the USA, which must run daily on 9-10 of our machines and produce 1.5 million pieces per month to fill orders. We have developed many special connectors and currently hold a patent on one style of connector. The N connector and GCF weather seal connectors are now used by Cable TV, Computer and Satellite Dish industries. Other Andros connectors are also sold in electronic stores across the United States. We are proud to say our products are "Made in the USA" and pride ourselves on being one of a very few electronic cable connector manufactures in the United States today.

To stay competitive with the orient for connectors and other screw machine companies, we must run more machines to meet the increased production demands of both our connector line and the special job work customers. Andros is still a growing company and is always on the look out for people and machines to keep on track with the growing needs and demands of customers.
